First Woman Senior Resident Judge in Guilford County

Following the retirement of Judge W. Douglas Albright, Guilford County Superior Court Judge Catherine Eagles will become the first woman senior resident judge in Guildford County.

Judge Eagles has served on the court since 1993. She received her B.A. Summa Cum Laude from Rhodes College in 1979 and her J.D. Summa Cum Laude and Order of the Coif from George Washington University in 1982. Judge Eagles worked for Smith Helms Mulliss & Moore from 1983-1993 and served as a law clerk to The Honorable J. Smith Henley of the United States Court of Appeals from 1982-84. For more information on Judge Albright's retirement, read the article in the News-Record.
